Feature Request: JSON Parser in Quick Fields

asked on October 16, 2018 Show version history

Hi all,

At the moment, I'm using regular expressions on JSON data stored in QR and Data Matrix barcodes. I've seen some instructions on using .Net "jss" library or getting a third party .Net JSON library.

Whilst there plenty of methods to read out the JSON, it would be great to have the same JSON and XML xPath parsers that exist in Workflow.

I could be lazy, I could want to be more efficient with my time. Potato, Potatah.

Bonus question, does anyone in the US really say "erster" instead of "oyster?" I imagine that would be a a Long Island or New England thing.

Hi Ben,

Thanks for the feature request. This functionality isn't currently in our near-term plans. Instead, we're planning to ease situations like this by making it possible to read barcodes using Workflow - functionality which we've recently released in cloud and plan to bring to on-premises in the future.

Hi Tessa,

This will make the QF vs WF debates that extra bit spicier. That's great news. As for my feature request, let's call the whole thing off.
