Different scan speeds

Hi,

What would cause users to have different speeds on the same machine. What I mean is that when I log into laserfiche as an user with admin rights (NB, Windows authentication), the speed of scanning and the image displaying is very fast, but when the users log into laserfiche, the speed is very much slower. Same machine, same documents, same laserfiche client.

Hi Mark,

 

Check the DPI on both profiles. DPI is a massive factor in scanning speed.

Also, if you log a different user into the same machine, the second user won't get the attributes that were set by the first user.

There are also image display settings in Scanning that might differ, like displaying each image as its scanned can slow down scanning as it has to wait for each image to load in the image display.

Hi,

After much testing we found out the following which I would need your assistance to decipher. We tried different combinations of windows user profiles and different laserfiche logins. But the user in which the scanning is slow continues to be slow whatever the combinations. Secondly when this user scans, there are extra files created in the scan file directory with the following names TWN**.loc and some txt files. These files do not appear for users whose scanning is fast enough. PLease advise why these files are being created
