Question

Weblink 10 columns

asked on October 8, 2018 Show version history

Is it still possible to set the column view in the Client for the user that will auto login to the public portal for Weblink 10?  I've set up the column view in the Client for this user but it is not carrying over to the view in the public portal.

Thanks,

Hi Jen, I'm not sure if this is what you're looking for but when we set up the column view for our public portal we had to create the column view in the Repository with our own account,  then go to Laserfiche Admin Console to our account > Properties > Attributes and export the XmlColumnProfiles, then import it to the public profile account.

**Make sure to save a copy of your original column settings before changing them. Also, if your account has the Option for "Remember for each individual folder" you may want to change it to "Applied to All Folders" for your public profile settings (unless you do want to set up different views on each folder :) )

Hi Casssandra,

I was actually going about this a different way which used to work with previous versions of Weblink.  You temporarily assign the public user a license, log into the Client, set the column view and then change it back to read-only.  This process creates the xmlColumnProfiles attributes for the public user.  However, in my testing the columns are not set as expected.
