Scripting the Migration of Physical Volumes

Is there any way to script the migration of physical volumes?  We need to move close to 300 physical volumes contained within 4 logical volumes, and while this can be done with the Administration Console, we would like to understand our options for scripting this migration.

Are you talking about moving the filesystem locations?

In the past, we've just shut down the Laserfiche service, moved the directories to the new location, changed the fixpath column in the vol table, and started up lfs. Everything seemed to work fine.

Hi Dave,

 

You can do this in workflow using the "Migrate Entries" activity, no need for any custom scripting, this is 'out of the box' functionality.
