Question

Could not load file or assembly 'LaserficheImaging'

asked on October 2, 2018

Hello,

We have a customer who is trying to email a TIFF.  Whenever they click on the TIFF and select Email Pages or Document, they receive the following error:

Could not load file or assembly 'LaserficheImaging, Version=10.3.0.0, Culture=neutral, Public Token=3f98b3eaee6c16a6' or one of it's dependencies. The System cannot find the file specified.  Unknown Error. [6000]

The TIFF exists in the Repository.

Thanks,

Jeff Curtis

Hello Devin,

Issue turned out to be, customer has multiple repositories and a few are still on 10.2 (Different Server) that was not upgraded with the rest of the system and thus they were trying to use a 10.3 client on a 10.2 server, which is not reverse compatible Client->Server, only the other way around Server->Client.

We installed 10.2 client and accessed the Repository, where they were trying to pull from, that is 10.2 and no errors now.

Appreciate your help Devin,

Jeff Curtis

Is this in the desktop client? Have you tried doing a repair installation?

Hello Devin,

Thanks for your reply.

Customer moved from 8.3 to 10.3.

Customer upgraded LF Clients to 10.3 and then tried a repair.

Is it all of their machines, or just one? If it's just one, I'd try to uninstall everything, reboot, and start the Laserfiche installation from scratch.
