Feature Request: additional functionality for use with timer catch events

asked on September 27, 2018

It appears to be a very common use case to use a timer attached to a user task for reminders or escalation, but access to some additional information would make them more useful and easier to use:

  • expose the task's due date as an option in the timer's "Based on a variable" setting
  • expose the task's assigned user(s) as a variable to the next task, so a reminder email could be simply sent to "/_prev_step_user". It would additionally allow a generic reminder email to be set up and used by multiple tasks.
  • also expose the task's name and start time as variables to the next task, so they can be referenced in those reminders or in notifications to the escalation user
  • utilize the process roles within the process, allowing reminders or escalation to be sent to the Business Manager(s) and/or Process Admin(s)

Do you want to have a variable to get the task due date? You want to remind the user when is the task's due date in the email?

I also want to be able to remind on a specific day of the month. Say send reminders every month on the 14th.
