Question

Forms Participant Usernames Unique in LFDS?

asked on September 27, 2018

With LFDS now you can assign licenses for Forms Participants. Do the usernames of those licenses need to be unique when compared to all other accounts configured? For example, If I have a restricted license with username domain\username, can I have a Forms Participant license setup with domain\username as well or will it tell me that the name needs to be unique?

Yes, user names are unique. However, you can assign both a restricted and participant user license to the same account.

Miruna,

Would you have to add the user account twice to the list in LFDS or once you select the Restricted License from the drop down, the Participant License option would be available to choose from?

There's a "Forms participant" checkbox that pops up for all license types that allow combining with a participant license.

Community and Full user licenses already include participant, so they won't show the option.

Just to clarify, because your screenshot shows a Retrieval License selected, the option to assign a Forms Authenticated Participant is available if Restricted License is selected?

Yes, any repository-only type of license that does not already include participant will allow combining it with a participant license.

Do you really have restricted licenses or just an "advance preview" version of the community users master license where they were still split and an older version of LFDS?

Yes, they are restricted licenses. They are only allowed to edit metadata.
