WORKFLOW: When try to move documents, WF is also moving folder I am scanning to.

My workflow is setup to find some entries in a designated folder and then rename those documents and file them. The documents are found, and renamed but when they are filed, they are all moved with the folder they were scanned to, to my filing directory structure. 

For my test, I have 2 documents that will be filed in 2 separate filing structures based on fields, but the folder 01 Document to be Filed (where I put documents to file), moves with all the documents inside of it to the filing location of the first file in the list. Not sure why my scan to folder is moving. 

The files are found and rename properly, the external query works, and fills in the template, just the whole folder moves. 

I am also including the WF report showing the routedentry_name which is the folder I am monitoring and moving from but it moves that folder to a new location so I no longer have a scanned location folder and my workflows find entry path is no longer valid.

I don't see the part of your workflow that is responsible for moving the document(s). We would need to see how that is configured to have a better idea of what might be going wrong.

Here is the routing under Routing Activity options to file these particular files. The files start in our 01 Documents to be Filed monitored folder.

\1 Human Resources\Active Employees\%(RetrieveFinalValues_Document Folder)\%(RetrieveFinalValues_Last Name),%(RetrieveFinalValues_First Name)-%(RetrieveFinalValues_Employee ID)

It should end up something like (for example):

\1 Human Resources\Active Employees\Benefits\Smith,John-12345\Tax Saver Plan with Tax Saver Plan being the document and the part in bold being the folder structure.

What is currently happening is the monitored folder where the documents are filed for scanning is moved like this.

\1 Human Resources\Active Employees\Benefits\Smith,John-12345\01 Documents to be Filed and whatever files were in that folder are moved with it. It basically processes once based on the metadata from the first file it encounters and moves the folder and is complete versus moving files. The files are renamed correctly but that is a mute point since they are not filed correctly. 

 

I appreciate any insight. I am still new to Laserfiche.
