asked on September 11, 2018

i have 2 multi-value fields (list ,text) when they are not in group the user can add values to one of them and leave the other one empty and save the changes, but when i but them in group if the user filled one of them or both and try to save the changes he gets an error "Unknown error 9538 [9538]" or access denied . but when i access laserfiche with admin account i can work normally with no error,is there security settings i need to change when i group fields?

That error code translates to "The request could not be completed because the version of the Laserfiche client making the request lacks support for a feature enabled on the server which is incompatible with older versions."  so I think your LF client needs to be updated to 10.2 to match the LF server.

I will check the client but it also happens in web access with error. Access denied. And the web client is 10.2

Requirement: Hide one of the field in a multivalued field group for specific user base

I have one query w.r.t Field Group Permissions..

If any of the field access in the Field group is made to hide through field security permissions for a specific group then rest of the fields in that group becomes automatically non editable(Access Denied Error). Rest of the fields also becomes editable once I start showing that hidden field be it in a read-only mode.

Please let me know if this is the desired behaviour? If yes then let me know the alternate ways to hide a field without getting access denied error?
