Hi, I'm having an issue where the user is not able to browse to the AD side from the LF Admin Console or LF Client. The SID does not resolve and no AD options are available under the Locations button. The affected machine is a domain joined Windows desktop and does not have wifi, and is connected directly to the network jack. We have also flush the dns and still no good. Did a uninstall/reinstall and no good. Logging into the LF server and using LF Admin console works just fine, so it appears to be a specific issue. Logging into LF Client and Admin console, and browsing the folders and settings are fine. The only issue is not having the ability to see the AD side. Has anyone seen this issue before?
Question
Question
Not able to select the AD location when adding a new user using the LF Admin Console
Answer
It's at the login level then, try a different domain account and verify your DNS is set to the same IP as on of your domain controllers and no backup DNS is configured (that is not a domain controller, IE: no 8.8.8.8). Laserfiche security is pretty much tied right into Windows security with very few links in the chain, it would be very odd if the experience was different between the two.

Are you able to browse AD when editing the security of a file sitting on the local drive of the server?
very good point. i've check and can't seem to edit the security. it appears to be a non-LF related issue. continuing to check the OS.

yup. the issue was the user account. Turns out the user's account was tied to a group that had a different domain access. Thx for the insight Chad.
