Changing Certificates for Directory Server

posted on August 31, 2018

We initially installed RIO 10.3 with Directory Server using a self-signed certificate.  We have since acquired a third party certificate, and have bound that to the Default Web Site in IIS.  However, when we try to access Directory Server, we still get the message "There is a problem with this website’s security certificate. " in IE, and "Your connection to this web site is not secure." in Chrome.

Is there also a place in the Directory Server where we need to direct the application to the new certificate?

The endpoint utility is one place where the certificate is specified.

Hi, thanks for your answer but if we have LFDS 10.2 can you help us with the correct procedure? We just have to change the site certificate?

Do you mean for the whole server?  That is done in the Certificate manager. Start, certmgr.msc.  Then you run the endpoint utility, it should be the same in 10.2 as 10.3.
