Adobe native integration

asked on August 28, 2018

Is there any time line for adding native adobe integration? I would love to have my users just be able to click a button to save to laserfiche directly from a pdf.

I don't know what Laserfiche's plans are, but have you tried using Snapshot? Also, drag and drop works very well with PDFs.

Not a fan of snapshot. It takes too long. And the drag and drop is an extra step. I don't want my users to have to save files onto their computer and then have to drag it to laserfiche. It is an extra step.

I'm curious what part of snapshot is so slow? It always seems pretty much instant to me.

If there's a specific step that is working slowly, it might be worth speaking to your VAR.

There's always going to be a couple of clicks to saving something to the repository. You need your users to be able to select a template and fill in the metadata. Other options to reduce the amount of user interaction are Import Agent or Quick Fields Agent, and/or a bit of Workflow.

I'm curious, what sequence of events are you imagining taking place between viewing the document in Acrobat, and the document landing in it's final location in the repository? (In case there's a solution that jumps out at anybody reading this thread :) )
