Question

Question

Available task notifications in LF Forms.

asked on August 28, 2018

Would someone be able to explain why I am experiencing two different users experiences in LF Forms for the same task.

We have a form that is shared by a team and therefore is waiting under the 'Available' list in the forms 'Inbox'. However I have noticed that in one experience via Internet Explorer I have a VERY handy number 1 notification allowing me to see their is a task waiting for me to complete...

BUT

In Google Chrome browser no such notification exists so at face value the inbox looks empty but infact the same task is waiting to be completed..

Could someone explain to me why this is a different experience? Is it browser based? It is worth noting that we REALLY like the feature of having some kind of indicator for a task.

Thanks

Chrome and Firefox are more picky about mixed use sites(contains both SSL and non SSL elements). If I had to guess, your website is secured by SSL, but your notification service is not. See this post on fixing it. In Chrome or Firefox you can open the developer tools and see if there are any errors in the console or network tabs about a non SSL request.

I don't know if it is worth mentioning, but the Inbox will change in 10.2.1 to look like the image below; that said investing time to fix this may or may not be worth it to you.
