Laserfiche Cloud Client- Convert PDF to TIFF's in after PDF has been loaded into a Folder

asked on August 17, 2018

Hello,

We have a customer who is using the LF Cloud Applications.

They have scanned some documents into the Cloud Repository as PDF's.

After doing QA, after the scanned images are loaded, they noticed some of the Pages were not clean, so they deleted them and re-scanned those pages and now want to merge those with the PDF series already loaded into the Repository.

Is there a way to generate pages in the LF Cloud Web Client, then Delete the Electronic File and convert the image to native TIFF so they can merge the document with the PDF series, like you can do in the LF Windows Client?

Customer is trying to go strictly Web based for the Client usage.

Appreciate your time,

Jeff Curtis

Hi Jeff,

Yes, you can delete the PDF component both at import and post-import. On import, in user options you can ensure 'Keep original PDF files' is unchecked and that will remove it after pages are generated. For documents already in the repository you can select 'Advanced -> Manage Electronic File' in the toolbar overflow. This will allow you to delete the PDF.

I have an employee who is organizing existing PDF records and would like an easy way to merge and split documents. Can you provide instructions? We are using Laserfiche 11.
