"unexpected end-of-contents marker"

My client is receiving an "unexpected end-of-contents marker" error when looking message on terminated workflows. We are not able to find more information about that error, and wanted to know if anyone else has encountered this.

They are on version 9.2.1 of workflow. Thanks!

There should be a more complete error message in the activity log in the Workflow Admin Console. But most likely, the PDF is corrupt or unreadable in some way.
