Import Agent Workflow

Hi,

My customer use a import agent to import PDF's files and apply a Metadata. The fields are not fill at this moment. The users should fill this required fields after the import.

In my Metadata, I have required fields and because of that, the document can't be import to Laserfiche.

Using Workflow, I tried to apply the metadata after the import but I have the same error with the process.

How can I do to import a document to laserfiche, apply a metadata with blank values and required field?

A document with a required field template cannot be saved if it is empty.

As a workaround I suggest you remove the field requirement from the template, then use workflow to enforce the field requirement. Move it to a "Requires Correction" folder or something similar.

Import Agent, and any other automated process, is subject to the same rules so required fields must be field if you are applying the template.

One workaround would be to apply a default value in the Import Agent configuration, and then change it with workflow after import.

Or, bring it in without the template and set the template and value with workflow post-import.
