Question

The search query syntax is not working in new Laserfiche version 10.3

asked on August 6, 2018

Dear All,

Our systems are upgraded to the new version of laserfiche 10.3.1.

The search syntax queries using wild card " * " with " in " and " Not In " clause is not working.

Same queries were working with Version 9.2.

Does something change with search syntax with new version ?

Did anyone face this issue yet ?

Thanks,

Sumit

Could you post a sample search that does not work anymore? I'm not seeing any open issues that would affect 10.3.1.

The sample query is like below one.

The wild card "*" is inserted into clients. This query was working fine with old version but not the latest 10.3 version :

{[Clients]:[Document Type] in ("doc type1", "doc type2", "doc type3)} & {[Clients]:[Client] in ("text1*", "text2*")} & {LF:Name="*", Type="DB"}&{[]:[Financial Year]="2016"}

That still works for me. Your sample is missing an end quote after "doc type 3".

It's probably best that you raise the issue with reseller so they can open a case with Tech Support.

This was resolved with an update to 10.3.x from Laserfiche FYI.
