Trailing spaces in entry name causes Workflow to throw "Invalid object name" error in WF 10.2

asked on July 25, 2018

I'm aware that previous Workflow versions had an issue processing entries with trailing spaces in the name, but we are on Workflow 10.2 and we still get the "Invalid object name" error on these entries. Should this issue have been resolved in 10.2, or is it still an outstanding bug?

I'm not seeing any issues like that. It's probably best you contact your reseller and open a case with Tech Support so we can look at what is going on in your case.

Were you able to find a solution for this issue?

We determined it to be a non-critical issue at the time and moved forward with our workflow with a caveat that it would not touch documents with this kind of naming error. We did not find the root issue.

For future reference, a possible workaround is using SDK to rename (trim) the documents' name.

We did that as it does not get the "invalid object name" error message when processing documents with a trailing space.
