Template Field Security through Web Access Management

asked on July 23, 2018

Good Morning All,

When I create fields and templates I usually use the Administration Console.  Since I get tired of waiting up to a full minute for it to open, I have recently tried using the Management tool in the Web client.

It works much quicker but I have a question about applying security through it.  I am attempting to apply security to a field so only selected groups can see it.  However when I try to add a group it shows me all the groups in my Active Directory.  I do not see an option to limit it to just DOMAIN-A.

In my screen shot, it shows DOMAIN-A for the person (me) who created the field.  But attempting to add our Admin group it shows up as 'co' instead.  In the past, this has caused issues for me.

Is there a way I can get the web client to set security using Domain-A? I am using 10.2.

Thanks.

The dropdown menu on the left side of the trustee name input box allows you to choose the domain to search.  I believe it defaults to the domain that the Web Access server machine is attached to.

Thanks for the information.  I will have to have the system admin take a look at it.  Attached is the screen shot of what I have for choices on the dropdown.  I can find the same users through the co.county.state.mn domain versus domain-a but in the past it has caused issues finding them in the co versus domain-a.
