Hello,
I am working with a client that uses WebLink for a set of their users to find information from some documents. The documents in question are typically over 1000 pages in size, and contains multiple related documents as a sort of packet use case. The users will search using the within folder option in WebLink to search the document and get the context hits. The issue is that it only shows 5, and the maximum amount that it can be increased to is 20 (unless you are in version 10+, which seems to not increase anymore?) which isn’t enough to find all of the results that they would be looking for. The search terms that they are using would produce far more than that, ranging potentially in the hundreds. They would like to be able to increase the hit count to be much higher so that it shows any hits in the list.
The other alternative that we can think of for this would be to simply search within the document after opening it, however the issue with this is that there isn’t an option for this within the software itself, and the browser can only see the first few pages that have loaded when you switch it over to showing the text for the document instead. The entirety of the text cannot be searched since it doesn’t load all of the pages in at once.
Does anyone know of any ways to search within a whole document within WebLink that works around these limitations, or maybe have heard of any plans for Laserfiche to update this?
Thanks,
Cody
