Question

Forms 10.2.1 - An unexpected error has occurred. [LFF502-UnexpectedError] - Object reference not set to an instance of an object.

asked on July 18, 2018 Show version history

We have a customer that has built a Forms process.

When he submits the first Form, it completes and he gets his email notification. When he clicks the link and goes through the 2nd form, it shows the error:

Laserfiche Forms has encountered a problem.

An unexpected error has occurred. [LFF502-UnexpectedError]

yet he still gets the email notification after the 2nd form and it saves into Laserfiche, it also as a completed instance in the Monitor tab.

We removed all CSS/JavaScript portion and tested and still get the same behavior.

Yesterday it was working fine.

Is this a bug?

They are on version Forms 10.2.1.246

It might be a forms cache issue. Try restarting the FormsAppPool and Forms routing service :)
