Earlier versions of the mobile apps didn't support selecting an organization and the appserver configuration page allowed administrators to specify one. Later versions of the apps allow the user logging in to pick the organization so the old server side setting became obsolete. Not sure which versions of the appserver and LFDS you are using but most likely your mobile apps (if you didn't have upgrades disabled) support organization selection during login and you can leave the server side setting empty.
