Scanning and Dynamic Fields

This would be more of a feature request but we currently have a customer who has some Standard Scanning users in a high latency environment. If they were to import a document into the client dynamic fields and template selection operates normally Client 10.3.1

When the same users use the scanning module template selection and dynamic fields take upwards of 10 seconds to load for each document. Other users located in the main office do not have these issues. It almost appears that scanning module queries the Laserfiche server each time a new document is created in the revision pane for template and dynamic field info.

Is this the case and is there a way to improve this behavior or something coming in the future?

I want to add some clarification to Shane's comments since the case was originally create. We upgraded our internet circuit and no longer have a high latency environment. However we still experience the performance differences between the client and the scanning interface. Attached is video recording of assigning a template on the same computer, repository, network, etc. and seeing the performance difference. We have isolated the issue to occur within the scanning interface and how the dynamic fields query the database. Anyway we can improve the performance now (service pack, hot fix, different SQL tables) instead of waiting on a feature request would be greatly appreciated as the method of we are currently using the performance is unbearible.
