Question

Multiple %(SearchTerm) Tokens

asked on June 27, 2018

Is it possible to have multiple SearchTerm tokens in a quick search? Something like this "{LF:name="%(SearchTerm)*", Type="DFS"} & %(SearchTerm2)" where the second search term is looking up text.

I don't see how that is possible. That functionality would require that there be multiple text boxes involved in Quick Search. Having to fill out multiple fields would make it not quick.

I was thinking of using a comma to separate the values for example: 1234567, certificate.

That presents issues when you are trying to search for something that has a comma in the string. For example, I might want to search for a name (Smith, John) and I expect that it will be treated as a single value.

I was using the comma as an example separator but I see your point. It looks like it's not going to work how I'd like unfortunately. Thanks for your responses, I appreciate it.
