Question

Weblink 10.1 WeblinkEvents assembly reference is missing

asked on June 27, 2018

I've opened the WebLink.vbproj in Visual Studio 2017 as I need to make a couple of changes that require a re-compile.

The WeblinkEvents assembly reference is missing from the bin folder and I cannot find it anywhere else on the C: drive. A screen shot is attached.

How can I get a copy of the assembly ?

I believe that assembly was removed from the product in the version 9 time frame, we must have neglected to remove it from the solution.  If you delete the reference does it build?

That seemed to work but I have a ton of other errors now but they seem to be due to a missing reference for Laserfiche.RepositoryAccess as you can see in the image below. Where can I get the Laserfiche.RepositoryAccess Version 10.3.0.0 assembly?

That should be installed into the GAC (something like C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\assembly\GAC_MSIL\Laserfiche.RepositoryAccess\v4.0_10.3.0.0__3f98b3eaee6c16a6).

Thanks Brian I have the reference added now. I'm down to only 32 errors left :)

Perhaps you can tell me what reference is missing or what I need to do to resolve the one highlighted below:

Brian, can you let me know how to resolve the error in the screen shot above? That error along with several of the others are related to DocViewGesture page. So I'm hoping maybe it's just another missing reference in the project.

Thanks.

Now that I look at it more closely, it looks like we didn't update the installed proj file to reflect the changes that went into version 10.  I'll have to get back to you next week about this.

Brian, I'm just checking in on this. How do you plan to deliver the updated project file? Does it require a hot fix or can you get it to me via my re-seller?

Sorry for the delay.  The team has fixed this and it will be included in the next release (currently targeted for next month).  If you would like it sooner, we can distribute it via a support case.

Hi Brian,

Just wanted to see if this was fixed in the latest version of Weblink? It looks like I am getting the same error messages.

Thanks

Still looking for a response as this is preventing us from upgrading to Laserfiche 10.3. It is a show stopper for us.
