Why is the URL different from when I choose to "Copy URL" and when I choose to Email Link?

Send Email - Link: http://XXX/Laserfiche/ElectronicFile.aspx?db=REPO&id=349297

This has caused some issues for us as staff may try to "Copy URL" of a MS Office document, send to someone, but when that someone opens it up, it looks like this:

I know I can generate pages... but that multiplies our storage requirements and isn't an appropriate approach.

Hi Robyn,

This is not the intended behavior - if you are copying the URL to an electronic file that does not contain image pages (and you do not have office online setup to display the document in the document viewer directly), it's supposed to use the download version of the URL. As you note, opening it up to the blank page is not particularly useful. We'll look into it, thanks for reporting.
