How to clean up Forms Submitted documents that are stored in Forms SQL DB

asked on June 20, 2018 Show version history

Hi,

Submitted documents from Forms are stored in the Forms database.

Some of the processes I do implement are not part of any complex approval within the Forms application and no one need to go back to the Forms interface to look at these documents after the process is completed.

I'm wondering if there is a flag somewhere when configuring a Forms to tell the Forms background engine if documents being submitted can be safely deleted or not stored in the Forms SQL database.

If this feature is not present, Can Laserfiche provide some information to allow us to run some SQL queries on a regular basis to clean up some of the documents?

Can we delete every document older than 3 months for a specific Form and for some other Forms, delete every document older than 6 months?

Regards,

Daniel

There is a database query on this post that should lead you to the documents that you want to clear out.

We are also in the process of implementing a feature that will delete files uploaded to a process after a set retention period.
