I have a client that is redacting by using a Sharpie and then scanning
They need to redact CC numbers in a way that no one can ever see the number, not IT, not management, not the user who redacted the info, ever
Ideas?

Do they have Quick Fields? We do permanent redaction by setting up a QF session that simply reads a document and saves it back in it's original place with no changes. However, we run the session as a user that doesn't have permission to see through redactions. This has the effect of permanently burning the redaction into the document.
That's a clever approach! I was going to suggest an SDK script.
The script idea works great also. QF is a low barrier of entry. We have QF Agent, so there's a lot of utility stuff that got done a long time ago and has long been forgotten. Now that you mention it, I feel like I need to go redo that old session as an SDK script.
Thanks for the extra work. ;)
