We want to allow the users to link documents together but not allow them to update the fields defined for a document.  Currently we have the "Write Metadata" permissions disabled.  Which, I think, is what is preventing the users from linking documents.  Is there a way to provide the ability to link documents but still prevent them from updating fields?
