Feature Request: Allow spaces to be typed into dynamic fields with many values

As a user, I'd like to request that dynamic fields accommodate typing spaces.

 

A client has a dynamic field with 800+ values. For multi-word values, typing the space breaks the lookup. For example, typing "Laketown" populates the field with the value "Laketown" from the database table. But, for example, trying to type "Lake Bridge" returns "Lake Allen", the first value in the set of "Lake ..." values. This requires the user to click the dropdown again, to select the correct value.

I can't quite reproduce the behavior described in 10.4 or 10.3. To clarify a bit:

  • Does this happen in Web Client, Windows Client, or both?
  • Is the attribute [Settings]MaxDropDownLength set?

 

If someone could upload a video reproducing the issue, that could be helpful.

Has this been resolved in the newest release of Laserfiche?

I have a client who has run into this same issue when using dynamic fields. Single-word values work fine, however, if there is a space between words for a value it doesn't register the space and the users have to expand their dropdown list to locate the proper value.
