Question

Adding Multiple Collections Containing Pictures

asked on June 12, 2018

I am trying to use a form to upload device information for our client's hardware along with a picture of each device. We are currently using Collections so we can add multiple devices and a picture of each (see screenshot attached) but the issue we are running into is that when the pictures are saved to the repository it is only saving the first picture added and none of the additional ones using the "Add" button to add another collection.

What is the best way to get around this? Is there something in Forms I need to adjust or do I need to pass it off the Workflow? Let me know if you need further explanation or details.

I was able to get it to save the pictures separately by changing the below option from "Save the submitted form from this process step" to "Save a form with current process data" but it now adds both devices metadata to the same field. (screenshots below)

Hi Ashleigh

Try using Metadata Field Groups in your repository template to separate these

Hi Steve,

I was able to get around this by passing it off to workflow and have it process each attachment separately. Thanks for this though! Will have to try it in the future :)
