Question

Is there anyway to NOT display the details panes (Metadata, Fields, etc...) at all? and to make it a default?

asked on June 7, 2018

Hello,

Working on a Forms process with Web Access embedded in an iFrame.  It defaults to displaying the details pane which takes up too much room in the iFrame; is there anyway to default to NOT displaying the details pane?

We've tried the [WebAccess] ShowMetadataPane = No attribute on the administration console for the user(s), and still no luck.  We've had each user log into Web Access separately and unselect the details pane with no luck.

Has there been any progress on this? We need to display a folder's contents inside an iframe, but not the details or anything else. Just the documents. I think I've tried every possible permutation of the various options provided, to no avail.

I would also love to hide the top nav bar if possible.

Hi Ege, I've been working on a solution to be able to create a dynamic list of documents in forms which are then selectable for display in an iframe as opposed to showing the contents of a WebAccess Folder.  If this interest you let me know.

Hi Bryce,

Do you specify a specific mode when you are embedding the web client into Forms? I believe the small or embed mode should hide this based on available screen real-estate. https://www.laserfiche.com/support/webhelp/Laserfiche/10/en-us/userguide/default.htm#../Subsystems/client_wa/Content/ShortcutsURLs/URLs.htm?Highlight=embed

Justin - I've tried this method and even with embed mode it's still loading Web Access with the Display Pane default turned on.

Your URL needs &view=fullscreen appended to the end of it

<iframe src="URL?db=LF NAME&amp;&amp;id={/dataset/LaserficheEntryID}&amp;mode=embed" style="width: 700px; height: 700px;"></iframe>

This does not work with the {/dataset/LaserficheEntryID} but if I use a hard number 180267 for example it will work and NOT display the metadata pane..... thoughts?

Hi Bryce,

We are having the same issue after upgrading to 10.3.1 and it is blocking the deployment of our project.   When you say "use a hard number", are you referring to the iframe width/height values?

nvm... just reread and realized you were referring to the id.
