HTTP Web Request - Web Service Creation

asked on June 5, 2018 Show version history

I'm trying to create a Workflow that uses the "HTTP Web Request" activity.   From the activity I click the Web Service...Manage Web Services...Add.  I successfully fill out the information and click "Test URL".  It successfully tests and then click OK.

After I click OK the Web Service does not show up in the list, even if I click refresh.

When I check the Workflow Administration Console the newly created Web Service appears, but there is no way to associate it with my Workflow.

I am running Workflow 10.2 all the way around.  Suggestions?  Is this a bug?  Am I missing something simple?

Hi Rob,

Just for fun, I gave this a test and replicated your findings. When I set the Web Service as "Custom" and click "test connection" (with the username and password) I get the "unauthorised user" message. When I click "Exchange(r)" I get "connection successful."

I found a bit more info.  Since I chose Exchange as the Web Service Type it shows up if I try to use an Exchange task in a Workflow, but not an HTTP Web Request.  The web service that I am trying to use is Microsoft Graph, which is an API for managing Office 365.  This API happens to use the same credentials/credential types as Exchange Online.  Can we get an option to use this API with the same authentication method as Exchange?

Do I need to create a new specific web service for that?
