LFS.exe crashing due to ucrtbase.dll

asked on June 1, 2018

Hello - I was hoping someone has ran into this issue before and has some suggestions on a fix? Each time I try to make the LF admin user a full user, LFS crashes with an error in the event viewer for ucrtbase.dll.

I have tried uninstalling all C++ applications and then reinstalling Laserfiche Server and Windows Client but the same thing is still happening.

Any ideas?? I am at a loss

Please open a case with Tech Support. They'll walk you through the steps to create a dump file when the server crashes so we can get more information.

Hi,

Is there any update on this Miruna?  We just had the same occurrence here when doing the same thing (updating a user to a FULL user).

Thanks

Hi Anthony, I actually forgot I posted this but I was able to figure out why it was happening.

I am still learning Laserfiche so it was actually a user issue on my part. If you are running LFDS, you cannot update the license through the Admin Console and it must be done through LFDS. If you are not running LFDS, the issue may be a bit different than the one I was seeing.

Hope this helps!

Thanks Ashleigh,

I thought it would be an LFDS issue.  There are a few instances where things can’t be done in the Admin Console and I have to jump over to LFDS or Web Admin.  I’ll add this to the list.  Thanks for the super quick response.

Have a great weekend!

Anthony
