Question

What is the effect of deleting the account_cache table?

asked on May 29, 2018 Show version history

What is the effect of deleting the account_cache table for the LFS database? Client is encountering an issue where they have to remove and re-add AD groups in the Laserfiche Administration console for the users to be able to login.

Now the question, is it safe to delete the account_cache table. What are the effects?

I wouldn't suggest deleting or modifying any of the LF product databases in any way.

No, modifying the Laserfiche schema by deleting any of the tables will put your repository in an unsupported state.

If you are referring to clearing out the contents of the account_cache table, you can do so. The server will rebuild the cache. However, it is unlikely that the contents of the table have anything to do with users not being able to log in. It's best you troubleshoot the issue with Tech Support and only clear out the contents of the table if instructed by them.

Thanks Miruna. That was what I meant to say, clearing certain entries [or all] of the table but not the table itself.
