Error when uploading large PDF files

asked on May 29, 2018

Hi All,

One of our users are experiencing issues when importing a large PDF into the client. The method of import is by drag and drop. The settings are set to remove the PDF file and convert it to Laserfiche Pages. Upon loading, the upload finishes but then prompted an error here are the details

Error Code: 6000
Error Message: Unable to cast object of type 'iTextSharp.text.pdf.PdfString' to type 'iTextSharp.text.pdf.PdfDictionary'.
No such interface supported [6000:0x80004002] (No such interface supported)

------------ Technical Details: ------------

LFCommonDialogs92.dll (9.2.1.540):
    Call Stack: (Current)
        HandleFileImport
        CImport::ImportFile
    Call History:
           CImportInfo::get_DontShowState
           CImportInfo::get_GeneratePagesSelected
           CImportInfo::get_SignDocumentDontShowState
           CImportInfo::get_NameConflictOption
           CImportInfo::get_NameConflictDontShowState
           CImportInfo::get_FolderNameConflictOption
           CImportInfo::get_VersionComment
           CImportInfo::get_ImportDocument

I have uploaded a screenshot on the error as well.

The client settings are:

New Documents: Settings ( Generate Searchable Text, Generate Laserfiche Pages) we unchecked keep Original PDF's, unchecked Preserve PDF Annotations on Laserfiche Pages, unchecked Import Monochrome images

The PDF's successfully imports in the repository but users are getting prompted with the error when uploading a large file of PDF.

Has anyone encountered the issue and resolved it without getting prompted?

Thanks in Advance!

Please open a support case so we can get a sample PDF to test.  This might be fixed in a newer version of the Windows client (you'd need to update your LF server too).
