Assistance with FX Function in Forms

asked on May 28, 2018 Show version history

Hi,

Just need some guidance with an fx calc i am doing in forms. It is very simple in excel, but when i try and do it in Forms i don't get it to work.

i have 2 Fields where i am Dividing  2 number fields =DIV(Variable1,Variable2) and then i have another field where i have to take the answers from the DIV (variable3) and x 100 which is working as it should. Challenge is, i want to do this in 1 calc =PRODUCT(DIV(Variable1,Variable2),100) which should be correct? However, i am not getting an answer. I have tried using =PRODUCT(DIV(Variable1,Variable2)*100) as well.

Also, i noticed the there is no PMT function. Is there anything else in the functions to accommodate this or should it be done on separate fields.

Hi Gert,

Which version of Forms you are using?

I tried with latest version of Forms (10.3), and the settings are like below, it works. If you are using the same version, maybe try to see whether the variable names used in the formula matches the variable name in the variable list located in the left pane?

If you are using a different version, let me know, I will take a look for you.

Best,

Ming

Hi Ming,

Thanks for this. It appears that the Variable was the issue. I have renamed the variables properly to avoid this.

Hi Gert

Have a look at this post for someone that was looking for a solution to no PMT function. He was able to write a formula to handle this.
