Question

un-select a drop down list

asked on May 25, 2018 Show version history

Hi all!

I just upgraded to 10.3.1 last week & working with Forms Professional. I found what might be a problem in forms. With version 10.2, I could un-select a drop down list by selecting the blank at the top of choices and now I can't.

In other words, an end user could select an option from a drop down list and then change their mind, and select a blank at the top of the list to "un-select" that list.

I no longer have a blank at the top of my drop down lists. I tried adding a blank space in the list of choices but that doesn't show up.

Does anyone have any ideas? I need this for my indecisive customers.

Thanks!

Mary

I have 10.3.1 Update 1 (released March 23rd) running and I can see the blank selection area.

Are you populating the Drop Down from a lookup, or entries in the field

Ack! Never mind ... I found that if a drop down is a required field, you can't blank it out.

Sorry about that!
