How to build a Cloud Public Portal link?

asked on May 22, 2018

I have activated the public portal for some of my cloud clients.  However, generating custom links via the designer results in links like "\test" or "http://test", neither of which is functional.  Do I have to manually format the string to include portal.laserfiche.com and/or the repository identifier?  There is NOTHING in the help files.

Thanks,

Benjamin

Hello Ben,

If you go to the help file, under the top right drop down > Help.

You will see a navigation structure on the left. Expand Laserfiche WebLink Designer > Welcome Page > Custom Links. That is where you will see information about Custom Links. Please let me know if you can not navigate to this page. Here is also the link in case you can not find it.

In regards to your issue,

You said "neither of which is functional". May I know what is not functional? Are you getting an error? Does it not respond? What behavior are you seeing?

In regards to http://test2, do you have a site that is called "test2"? As in would this be an internal site you created for your users in which they can only access when they are on a certain network connection?
