Question

Find Entry "0 is not a valid Entry ID"

asked on May 17, 2018

On an existing workflow in which I made a small modification to, not dealing with the Find Entry Activity, this activity is now failing with the error '0 is not a valid Entry ID'. This workflow works as it should in Dev without a problem.

We recently upgraded DEV Workflow to 10.2.0.216. Production is still on version 9.0. So I'm sure the version differences is most likely the culprit. However, I need this fixed yesterday since this is in fact the workflow the Parses imported information.

We are not scheduled to upgrade Production until August. Does anyone know how I can resolve this issue without upgraded Production, as it is not an option right now.

Most likely, the 10.2 Designer added something Workflow 9 can't interpret. Re-create the activity using a v9 Designer.

Where are you getting that you plug into the Entry ID for Find Entry? Numeric tokens/values will default to 0 if they are empty, so it sounds like whatever you're using isn't getting the desired value.

Can you post a screenshot of the configuration for your Find Entry activity?

Yes. Here is the screen shot. I use the At selection so I can generate specific results.

Sounds like it is not finding anything that matches that path/location, but the "0" Entry ID in the message seems a bit strange.

Any chance you used a Workflow 10.2 Designer to make changes to the Workflow 9 server?

Yes that is correct Miruna. But It will not be upgraded until August, and that is why I'm looking for a fix now.
