I have seen instances where quickfields has been set up to reference a cloud account for direct scanning.  My question is, does it still require a QF server or can I simply install/license a QF agent and point it at the destination cloud account?

The Quick Fields server only stores sessions, it does not do any processing. Quick Fields Agent only runs sessions saved locally, so you do not need the server for automated processing.

Ah, answered my own question.  The server portion does the processing and is required.
