Question

Setting up Web Access SSO after updating SSL Certificate

asked on May 8, 2018

Hey,

We have just installed a new certificate on our LFDS server, added the binding in IIS to port 443 and we are now looking to setup SSO for Web Access and Forms.

When configuring Web Access we have the following service to configure but we receive the following:

Is it OK to ignore this message or do we need to reconfigure LFDS and generate some new licenses?

Thanks,

Dom

If both names resolve to the same machine it should be fine.

There are scenarios where those values won't match, usually because a machine has multiple valid dns names.  Do the names refer to the same machine?  If they refer to different names, that's the scenario that probably won't work.

Hi Brian,

The names resolve to the same machine but they are different

An example in our scenario is:

Configured SSL certificate: laserfiche.company.com

...but the actual server name is: server.domain.com (shown in the license file)

Is it possible to get SSO working with the configured SSL cert?

Thanks,

Dom

Hi Brian,

We have just gone ahead with this and it works fine by ignoring the message.

Thanks,

Dom
