Question

chromebook forms problem

asked on May 7, 2018 Show version history

Chrome 66.0.3359.137

Dell Chromebook 11

Laserfiche Forms Professional Version 10.2.1.246

I notice when I work with Forms on my Chromebook some issues:

  • Forms Process Designer - flashes the process as the page loads but goes blank once everything is loaded.  Adjusting the zoom on the page or trying "Zoom to Fit" doesn't fix the issue.
  • Can't Save as Draft or Submit the form.
    • clicking the Save as Draft button merely brings another Save as Draft button
  • custom javascripts do not work
    • scripts work if using incognito mode

When using a windows 10 laptop with the Chrome browser, everything works fine.

Chromebooks are starting to be used more extensively in our schools so I'm wondering if anyone else has run across these problems and if you have any suggestions to resolve the problem.

Thanks in advance for any assistance.

On my Chromebook using Forms 10.2.1 and Chrome 65.0.3325.209

  • I can't reproduce this flashing issue. I've tried opening many different processes and all open fine. Zooming in/out and to fit all perform as expected and the diagram never disappears.
  • I successfully saved a draft and only got one instance of the save draft dialog. I also submitted Forms.
  • I used some basic JS in my form in regular Chrome (not incognito)

I'm not sure why you are running into these issues. Can you reproduce them on ALL Chromebooks? Or just the one?

Thanks.

I tried another Chromebook and didn't have the same problems.

So to get my Chromebook working I tried clearing browser data (range:  all time).  This didn't help.

I ended up having to remove my user from the Chromebook and re-adding it.  There must have been something stored locally that wasn't removed by merely clearing browser data.
