Forms process variables - which submitter is which?

If have 2 user tasks and I see 2 submitter tokens but it is not clear which submitter is which in the tokens.

Which do I choose?

Your (/_submitter) is your previous submitter, which could be from a previous User Task or a previous Workflow Task that submitted something back to the form.

Your (/_fs_submitter) is always your previous User Task's submitter, regardless of being any other type of Service Task in the middle.

In your case, both will return the User Task that you have in the black rectangle.

If they are part of a team, you can use a filter like this where "2" is the task ID #. Otherwise, I often push it to workflow, read the user it should then spit out the proper user which is a huge pain.

This looks super useful. I can get the submitter of any task this way it looks like. I am going to try it out. Can't see any downside to making them part of a team.

Oh ok. So there is no way to return a task to someone, if say it gets denied.
