Question

What happens on Master License expiration date?

asked on April 24, 2018

Does LFDS attempt to auto-renew the license when the expiration date is reached? Or does it have to be done manually? (I know there is a grace period of sorts.)

This is actually a Rio client, but they added a couple of subscription-type items to their master license recently so I think that's why the expiration date appeared.

To piggy back on this, would anyone know WHY we cannot see the Master License Expiration date anymore after upgrading to Rio 10.4?  We used to see it in LFDS > Overview where it shows a graphic of the number of licenses assigned/reserved and available.  I also checked Settings > General.  Cannot find it anywhere.

I'm wondering the same thing.  It is important to be able to see the Master License Expiration date.  Please bring it back.

Hi Rob,

LFDS does show the expiration date of a primary license if it has one. For Rio systems, the primary licenses usually do not expire and therefore no expiration date will be displayed. You may have subscription components of your license that do expire though, and we display the expiration date on the Overview page.

At this time LFDS does not auto-renew its master license, it has to be manually renewed.

OK, can we manually renew it at any time, or is there a specific time that it needs to be done?

The updated license is available after the renewal is paid.
