My biggest obstacle was that our LF components were not set up right.  Prior to my starting, we had a server crash and our IT guy was not very experienced.  So, even though our VAR had probably set it up right initially, things were messed up after the fact.  I was the first one to try using the WF tools and even though I went through the CPP courses, I could not make things happen when I attempted my first workflows.  It took getting my VAR to come on line and troubleshoot for me.  He would get things working for that wf and then I would try something else and it wouldn't work.  9 times out of 10 it was because there was something else not set up right.

Once all the connections were right, I could move ahead.  I then got my VAR to help me set up a complicated contract management process.  During those sessions, where he walked me through each and every step as we put it together and tested the steps, I learned a lot and was able to keep going back to those (3 wf's involved in the BP) workflows to reference how each step was put together whenever I wanted to create something new.

Hi Pearl,

You may also find some of the instructional videos on the Laserfiche Support Site helpful. Simply filter by Workflow. We also have a Building Laserfiche Workflows CPP class.
