Question

Import Agent Not Moving Files After Storage in Laserfiche Instead Continuous Upload IntovLF

asked on April 5, 2018

We recently upgraded our Import Agent System to 10.3.1.470 and are experiencing an issue. Prior to the upgrade, when we moved a file into the document uploaded it would upload itself into Laserfiche and move to a sub-folder. Now, it just stays and continually uploads itself into Laserfiche - creating many many copies. I went to the control panel and switched it to delete after uploading. This worked - however, we want to the uploaded file to be stored and not deleted.

Please help!

So after some additional digging, it appears that if I put a sub-folder labelled "Processed" this does not happen. So perhaps a bug that needs to be addressed.

Hi Doug,

Could you please expose the profile that is under C:\ProgramData\Laserfiche\ImportAgent\Profiles and please hide the sensitive information in the profile.

Thanks,

Qinmei

Hi Doug,

Please check under "ProgramData" not "Program Files"

Also, if you check the application event log on the Import Agent server, there should be details about a failure to move the processed document.

One thing I want to point out is that we are aware of an issue where if Import Agent is monitoring a network folder and configured the move the processed document to another folder also on the network, it would fail and thus result in the same document getting imported over and over again. Could that be what you're running into?

Put a dummy folder in there (Processed) and it will work the same as before. I also put an error folder in there just in case.
