Upgrading LF9.1 to LF10.3

We are currently investigating upgrading from LF 9.1 to LF 10.3.  I have a question regarding the Licensing Manager.  We are currently running 8.3 of the licencing manager.  Do we need to upgrade to the Laserfiche Directory Server or can we stay on Licensing Manager 8.3 until after the upgrade. 

If I move our current 8.3 license server to the latest LF Directory Server, the current 9.1.1 environment we have will continue to work?

You don't need to switch to Directory Server as part of the upgrade.

Thanks for the reply. Is it still possible though to upgrade the LFDS after the upgrade to 10.3
