Laserfiche Forms keeps Redirecting

asked on April 3, 2018 Show version history

Currently running Forms version 10.2.1.

I have the Forms portal with two installations of Forms. The internal side works fine. The DMZ side however will prompt for credentials, and when it receives valid ones, will just keep redirecting showing the LFDSSTS URL. It never loads the web page. See the attached .gif file. This happens on all browsers and different computers. I believe this started happening after implementing single sign-on, though I can't say for sure as everything appeared to be working fine until recently (and there hadn't been any changes other than that).

I followed the following documentation:

https://support.laserfiche.com/resources/3481/hosting-laserfiche-forms-10-in-a-perimeter-network-dmz

However, the problem persists, and now I cannot log into Forms Config on the DMZ. I get the message: "The requested service (IRoutingEngineService) may not be running. [LFF3004-UnableToOpenServiceProxy]"

Hi Michael,

Can you try checking in C:\Program Files\Laserfiche\Laserfiche Forms\Config\web.config find the node with XPath /configuration/system.serviceModel/bindings/netTcpBinding/binding/security; is it <security mode="Transport" /> ?

If so, set the mode to "None" as done previously for the other config files. This was a step previously missing from the DMZ white paper which has since been corrected.

Thanks for the response Rui; however, I did make that change earlier:

Has this been resolved? We just upgraded from Forms 10.2.1 (which was working fine) to 10.3.1 and now seeing the exact same infinite-redirect behavior on the DMZ.

Hello,

Yes, just recently our VAR found a solution that involves creating a self-signed certificate between the internal LFDS and DMZ, and also modifying the Web.Config files (plus a few other changes). I'm not sure of the exact steps unfortunately. I think Laserfiche support may know more.

I'm hoping this issue will be resolved in future versions because I suspect we'll have to make modifications with every version of LF Forms.
