EMail when a file is delete

I want to create a workflow to send an email if a file is deleted.   I am not quite sure how to start I thought maybe it would be simply a workflow with an email function set to run after a rule with Entry is Deleted Object type Document.  But When I delete a test file nothing happens.   What I am overlooking?

Yes, this is possible. Could you post an image of your workflow and your starting rules?

Also, I'm assuming you have checked the email address you're using and that your Workflow server is capable of sending emails in general.

Hey Darin,

Even if I only put an email activity in the workflow and nothing else, I can set it to do this by the Starting Rule like below:

It sounds like you've done that, and if that's the case it should work as long as the repository is correct.  Make sure you haven't chosen the wrong repository in the 'Get metadata from:' dropdown like the Sandbox if you're wanting it to be the Production environment, etc.

Thanks for all the help I figured it out I just had to set what email address I wanted to send from.  Thanks for help!
